 Tuesday, February 09, 2010 Good News and Call for Volunteers Todays note brings some good news and a request for some volunteers to help out with campaign events. First the good news. In the last several days we announced that we received the support/endorsement of two major New Jersey Tea Party groups- the North New Jersey Tea Party Group and NJ Tea Party. These two organizations have several thousand members between them and, as we know from witnessing Scott Brown's victory in Massachusetts last month, they are the frontline soldiers in the war to take back our country from the Obama/Pelosi/Holt agenda. In addition to our support from local, county and state elected officials and municipal chairs, our message of lower taxes and individual liberty continues to attract grassroots support from around the state. That kind of support will help me overcome the financial advantages of my opponents in June and in November and I continue to be grateful for the support of people like you. Many of you have asked how you can help our campaign. We have several events coming up in the next few days/weeks and we need some volunteers. February brings many events centered around the birthdates of Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan. If any of you are attending these Lincoln Day or Reagan Day events and would like to help us gather signatures on my nominating petitions, hand out Halfacre for Congress lapel stickers and buttons, and generally help out our efforts, please let me know. If you are not planning on attending these events as a paid guest, we need volunteers to stand near the entrance of the event with Halfacre for Congress signs to let the folks who are attending see that the campaign has enthusiastic support from the time they get to the event until the time they leave.
